In the exuberant and explosive dramatic trio Ghost, they convey devastating despair, filtered through their singularly eerie atmosphere. Equally brilliant is his interpretation of the “Archduke Trio”, the last of Beethoven’s compositions and written in a veritable burst of inspiration for a virtuoso trio. Great and overwhelming music for an afternoon difficult to forget.
